Hall 30
From the collaboration between MECSPE and FONDAZIONE ITS A. CUCCOVILLO, Piazza della Formazione 5.0 represents a space where the ITS and its partner companies share experiences, projects, and opportunities for the development of the Territory.
The aim of this area is to increasingly highlight the importance of the connection between Company and Education, involving students who are the true protagonists, along with companies and schools. In a constantly evolving context, it is essential for companies to rely on resources equipped with technical and innovative skills, such as those of ITS students.
The Piazza includes a Speech Area, featuring a rich schedule of interventions, and a Demonstration Area, where partner companies will present new products and solutions, engaging students who have tested them firsthand.

Education at the core of companies

Masmec, specialized in technologies for the automotive and biotech sectors, places great importance on education because, in its reference markets, innovation moves fast and requires updated and specialized skills.
One of its most effective collaborations with the education sector is with ITS A. Cuccovillo: Masmec, which is also a founding member, takes part in defining the educational programs, provides its staff for classroom lessons, and hosts students for hands-on internships. This represents a crucial step both for the students, who immerse themselves in the industrial environment, and for Masmec, which can support and identify individuals who best align with its needs and values and bring them into the company after graduation.

Mitsubishi Electric, a leading company in the field of industrial automation, process control, and CNC, firmly believes in the importance of education to spread the culture of automation and provide the tools necessary for continuous improvement.
Through the “AcadeMy” program, we are committed to offering high school and university students a tangible opportunity to approach the world of work through targeted training courses focused on the latest technologies they will encounter in their careers.
For this reason, we have been collaborating for several years with ITS (Higher Technical Institutes) across Italy, supporting them in the development of highly specialized courses in Mechatronics and Industrial Automation.

SDI was founded in Italy over fifty years ago and today is a point of reference in the automation, control, and remote monitoring of highly critical industrial and energy processes.
We have always believed that knowledge and training are the engines of progress: for this reason, through SDI Academy, we promote continuous learning that combines theory, practice, and collaboration. The mission “Improve & Share Knowledge” guides every project, fostering not only the growth of technical skills but also soft skills, through the sharing of know-how among people and departments. For truly shared innovation.

We believe in their future, their choices, and their creativity. Through our Orientation Area, over the years we have reached thousands of students and organized hundreds of events, involving more than 700 schools, 70 universities, and 40 ITS (Higher Technical Institutes).
Roberto Vingiani, Technical Director of Fondazione ITS A. Cuccovillo Meccanica-Meccatronica

“ITS Academy Cuccovillo confirms its participation in MECSPE Bari, as it believes this event represents the ideal environment to highlight the importance of a close collaboration between Professional Training Institutions and both Technology-Supplying and Technology-Using Companies. This collaboration is essential to develop the new generation of technicians needed to drive innovation and foster growth in our region.
Within the ‘Piazza della Formazione 5.0’ we aim to showcase this vision by featuring a variety of highly innovative devices. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet companies and interact with our students, embarking on a journey through the fascinating world of Digital Manufacturing and 5.0 Technologies.”
Michele Turchiano – Human Resources Director, Masmec S.p.A.

“Our participation in Piazza della Formazione 5.0 is an opportunity to showcase to young people the digital technologies we are developing, providing a concrete example of how advanced and innovative the sectors we operate in are. In an ever-evolving industrial context, investing in training is a strategic and daily choice for us, and ITS Academy Cuccovillo is the ideal partner to share the value of dual technical education. Together, we create pathways for young professionals with skills aligned to the current and future challenges of the manufacturing sector, and through direct teaching, workshops, and company internships, we accelerate their entry into the workforce.”
Alessandro Munari, Academy Coordinator of the Factory Automation division at Mitsubishi Electric

“Taking part in MECSPE Bari 2025 within the ‘Piazza della Formazione 5.0’, in collaboration with ITS Cuccovillo, allows us to give education the strategic role it deserves for the growth of the sector and the spread of automation culture.
We firmly believe that the synergy between the industrial world and the education system is the key to building strong, long-lasting skills capable of meeting the demands of the job market and the challenges of the future.
For us, MECSPE Bari is a valuable opportunity to share this vision and to engage in discussions about future strategies.”
Michele Dibenedetto, Market Manager Educational Project at Omron Electronics Spa

“Our participation in the ‘Piazza della Formazione 5.0’ at the ITS Academy Cuccovillo booth aims to share our educational experience and the most advanced solutions for industrial automation and the digitalization of production processes. We emphasize the importance we place on developing technical skills for teachers and students of all levels.
Thanks to our Educational Project, which has been active for over twenty years and operates under a protocol with the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIM), we collaborate closely with technical institutes, ITS Academies, polytechnics, and universities to promote targeted training programs and prepare tomorrow’s professionals on the most advanced Industry 4.0 automation technologies.”
Sara Brogioli, Human Resources Director of SDI Automazione

“Participating in MECSPE Bari 2025 in the ‘Piazza della Formazione 5.0’ represents for SDI a confirmation of a commitment that has always guided us: building a ‘Future You Can Trust’. We believe that the future of industry lies in the growth and training of people, their skills, and their ability to innovate. For this reason, we collaborate with schools, technical institutes (ITS), and universities to train professionals ready to face the challenges of digitalization and industrial transition.”
Raffaella Menconi, Head of Education – Siemens Italia

“We are pleased to take part in such an important event to present Siemens’ Smart Lab, a new proposal of educational laboratories designed by Siemens Education to train and certify technical skills related to Industry 4.0 and the Digital and Energy Transition. Based on realistic scenarios and closely connected to the Siemens EDU Skills Certification project, they are designed to foster practical and immersive learning.”
Maria Raffaella Caprioglio, President of Umana

“At this critical moment where manufacturing companies are urgently seeking qualified skills, it is essential to place education and youth guidance at the center.
We have chosen to support the ITS Academy A. Cuccovillo Foundation — of which we have been a member since 2014 — in the ‘Piazza della Formazione 5.0’ at MECSPE Bari 2025 with this goal: to promote a project that connects schools, training, and businesses.
Umana’s approach is focused: we listen to the needs of companies in order to develop tailored training paths that place young people and their skills at the core.
We help companies communicate their values to attract and retain talent, because the future of manufacturing — and more broadly, of our entire production system — depends on the ability to build strong connections between businesses, young people, and education.”
