Following the success of the 23rd Bologna edition in March with more than 66,000 visitors, MECSPE returns to Bari for the third time as a flywheel for Southern Italy’s manufacturing fabric and promote its manufacturing innovation.

Milan, April 08, 2025 – Manufacturing continues to be one of the fundamental pillars of the industrial fabric of the South; a dynamic sector with the more than 150,000 companies[1] that, from 27 to 29 November 2025, will meet at the Nuova Fiera del Levante for the third edition of MECSPE Bari, the reference event for the manufacturing industry, organized by Senaf. A strategic opportunity to highlight the value of local production realities and tell the story of the path of innovation that is transforming Southern and Central Italy into increasingly competitive industrial hubs.

A strategic appointment that follows the success of the 23rd edition of MECSPE Bologna, which closed last March with record numbers: 66,573 trade visitors, more than 2,100 exhibiting companies on 100,000 square meters of exhibition space. With these results, MECSPE confirms itself as a reference point for national and international manufacturing, capable of combining innovation, business and education in one big platform. In addition, thanks to the cooperation of ICE, Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies, the event welcomed buyer delegations from 11 countries: Algeria, Bosnia, Croatia, India, Mexico, Poland, Czech Republic, Morocco, Turkey, Hungary, and Uzbekistan.

Also in Bari, companies from the area, and beyond, will be able to present projects, technologies, and expertise on a 20,000 sq m exhibition area, participate in networking and professional development activities, and engage with industry experts on the three pillars of the event: education, innovation and sustainability.

Following the success of the 2023 edition, which was attended by 15,000 professional visitors, 511 companies present and more than 150 events including conferences and workshops, the third edition of MECSPE Bari is preparing to strengthen its role as a platform for growth for businesses in southern Italy.

Among the main focuses of the 2025 appointment will be a special attention to SMEs in Southern Italy, with an offer built to concretely support the development of the local manufacturing fabric. The event will offer numerous opportunities for meeting and discussion, including networking moments, B2B meetings, and thematic conferences, as well as an exhibition area dedicated to startups and young innovators, designed to foster dialogue between companies and new skills, and encourage the adoption of advanced technologies.

The fair, realized with the support of institutional players in the area, will give space to thematic exhibitions, special initiatives, and a rich program of content, with the involvement of entities such as CONFIMI, numerous trade associations and local training centers (such as the ITS Cuccovillo Institute of Bari).

On Nov. 27, new data from the MECSPE Observatory will be presented at the event’s opening event for an updated snapshot of the Italian manufacturing industry, with a focus on companies in southern Italy.

“After Bologna, we are returning to Bari with renewed enthusiasm,” says Maruska Sabato, MECSPE project manager. ” With MECSPE Bari, we want to offer companies in Central and Southern Italy a concrete opportunity for growth, inspiration and exchange. The success of the previous editions shows how much there is a need for a qualified meeting place for industry in Central and Southern Italy that can enhance local excellence and support the transition to a more competitive and sustainable production model

After Bari, MECSPE’s journey will continue in Bologna, where the 24th edition dedicated to industry that innovates, grows and connects will be held from 4 to 6 March, 2026. An unmissable event at BolognaFiere to continue building, together, the future of manufacturing.
