      Aerospace<\/span><\/b> is among the key sectors featured: an increasingly vital part of the Italian economy. In 2024, <\/span>Italy\u2019s Space Economy<\/span><\/b> exceeded <\/span>\u20ac20 billion in revenue<\/span><\/b>\u2014approximately <\/span>1% of GDP<\/span><\/b>\u2014with research and development investments exceeding 5% of the sector\u2019s output value.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Italy also plays <\/span>a leading role<\/span><\/b> at the European level, consistently ranking among the top countries: <\/span>third in terms of space investment relative to GDP, with a complete value chain<\/span><\/b> and a strong presence of highly specialized SMEs\u2014accounting for approximately 80% of the sector. <\/span>Over \u20ac7 billion<\/span><\/b> in public funding has been allocated to support the national space ecosystem between 2023 and 2027.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      This trajectory was further strengthened in June 2024 with the <\/span>Government\u2019s approval of the first-ever Space Economy Bill<\/span><\/b>, which established a dedicated fund and introduced a comprehensive legal framework to support the entire value chain. The Italian aerospace sector can also count on a solid national infrastructure, with <\/span>13 aerospace districts<\/span><\/b> spread across the country.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Among these, the Apulian district stands out for its size and dynamism. <\/span>The Apulian Aerospace Technology District (DTA)<\/span><\/b> has <\/span>over 100 companies, more than 8,000 employees<\/span><\/b>, and a <\/span>turnover of over \u20ac1.5 billion.<\/span><\/b> The sector’s international vocation is confirmed by <\/span>export<\/span><\/b> data, which grew by <\/span>+15.6% in 2023 and +6.6% in the first quarter of 2024.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u201cItaly has a significant and well-established industrial and scientific heritage in the aerospace sector, ranking among the leading European countries in terms of capabilities, revenues, and workforce across the entire value chain.\u201d He further emphasizes that:<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
